The position is being filled by a Master Artisan (Electro Mechanic) on the Production Section.
Core elements of Sasol
- Knowledge of safety management (SLAM, JSA, major hazards)
- Create job cards for equipment deviations and inspect them
- Manage in section critical spares
- Maintain a maintenance plan and manage feedback on maintenance
- Verify the quality of work done by other artisans in the section
- Training and coaching of other artisans and learners on-the-job
- Assist foreman with standby duties
- Assume the foreman’s responsibilities when he is on leave or relieve him
- Support the work management process of the foreman
- Maintain high standards and levels of good housekeeping
General
- High level of assertiveness
- Good coach and mentor
- Good in planning and management
- The current position I hold is that of Senior Artisan: Electro Mechanic
- An understanding of the COPs and SOPs specific to the job
- Maintain all safety standards

Minimum Qualifications and Experience required
- Test Certificate for Gases Flame Proofing Certificate for Gases
- SAP Navigation and access
- Valid Red ticket
- A typical senior artisan has 3 years of electro-mechanical experience
- Section Conveyor experience is crucial
- Code 8 drivers license
- An equivalent grade of 12/N3 (with Mathematics, Science, and English) is required.
- Computer literate (Wish)
- A working knowledge of the work management process and its implementation (Wish)
