We are seeking applications for the vacant post of ACCOUNTING CLERK at the Office of the Chief Justice, reference number 2023/167/OCJ.

SALARY for Office of the Chief Justice:

A total of R181 599 is paid per annum. There will be a performance contract required for the successful candidate.

CENTRE:  

North West Provincial Service Centre

REQUIREMENTS of Office of the Chief Justice:

A Matric Certificate with Accounting as a subject passed. As an advantage, you should have a national diploma in accounting/financial management or an equivalent.

It would be an advantage if you had one year of finance experience.

Skills and Competencies:

MS Office competency, Good communication skills (written and verbal),

Good interpersonal relations, good planning skills, and good problem-solving skills.

Technical competencies:

Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), Treasury Regulations, Travel Subsistence, Basic Accounting System (BAS).

It is essential that the applicant has computer literacy, especially in MS Excel and MS Office. Please consider applying if you have a disability.

DUTIES:

Managing the collection of revenue, administrating payroll and paying claims, and processing payments to creditors.

Pay S&T claims for Judges and Officials, Prepare manual requisitions and capture on JYP, Manage petty cash, Prepare and process S&T claims,

Invoices must be received and recorded within 30 days. Receipts must be issued for money paid in the cash hall.
