Short Description / Purpose of Job
Heavy Duty Drivers are responsible for transporting materials and diesel safely and on time.
Recruitment Description / Key Accountabilities
Safe loading, securing, and offloading of direct and indirect materials at warehouses, OME’s, and suppliers.Vehicles, assets, and all relevant materials are taken care of, custodyed, and controlled.Follow the correct safety procedures when using vehicle safety equipment. PPE should be used correctly.Ensure the vehicle is always roadworthy and report any defects in accordance with K53.
Conduct daily vehicle pre-trip inspections according to a standard checklist and report defects. At all times, adhere to the logbook and key control requirements.
Formal Education
- Grade 10
Min Experience
- 2-3 years relevant driving experience
Certification & Professional Membership
- Code C/C1/EC1 License with PrDP
- Code EC will be an advantage
