Limpopo Provincial Government: Bursary Programme 2023

South African students are invited to apply for the Bursary Programme 2023 by the Limpopo Department of Transport and Community Safety.

Closing date: On Going

Students residing in Limpopo will receive bursaries for the following fields of study:

  • Logistics
  • Policing
  • Road Safety
  • Supply Chain Management
  • Transport Economics
  • Transport Planning

Bursaries will cover the following expenses: registration fees, tuition fees, prescribed books, meals, and accommodations at the institution or in accredited student residences.

Following the closing date of the bursary application, shortlisted candidates will be contacted within 60 days. Applicants who have not received feedback by this time should consider their application unsuccessful.

Requirements for Limpopo Provincial Government

Before applying, applicants must meet the following minimum entry criteria (failure to meet all requirements will result in your application not being considered):

  • You must be a South African citizen
  • You must residing within the Limpopo province
  • You must have completed Matric
  • It is necessary for you to be enrolled in a degree or diploma program at least part-time
  • within one of the fields of study listed above, in 2023
  • You must be studying at a public institution of higher learning
  • Youth from all races are eligible for the bursary, with a particular focus on previously disadvantaged groups and disabled individuals.

How to apply for Limpopo Provincial Government

In order to apply, students must submit clear copies of the following documentation (the submission of these documents is mandatory – if any documents are missing, your application may be disqualified):

  • An application letter (this must be written by the applicant and include the reference number: S5/1/1)
  • ID document (certified copy)
  • Matric certificate
  • Latest academic results/ record, if currently studying (on institutions letterhead)
  • Registration or provisional acceptance at a public institution of higher learning (on the letterhead of the institution)
  • Proof of residence in Limpopo
  • Parents or guardians proof of income (latest payslips if employed/ affidavit if unemployed)
  • Proof of disability if applicable
  • Note: there is no application form to be completed for this bursary application – students need only submit the list of above documents to apply.
