Short Description / Sasol Purpose
To achieve production, blending or distribution requirements in a safe manner, Process Operators provide support for single process equipment and systems in Sasol plants and units
Recruitment Description / Key Accountabilities
- Work under supervision for all tasks
- Generally, it is necessary to have some knowledge of the tools and equipment in order to clean specific equipment or systems, such as laundry after tapping, cleaning under equipment, etc.
- Provide guidance to contractors on how to operate basic equipment in the plant
- Basic methods of safe storage of oil and flammable material.
- Conduct basic fault finding
- Reporting any abnormal conditions that are identified
- Can work independently
- Work with more advanced equipment specific to the plant, e.g. Maintain cooling treatment equipment
Formal Education
- Grade 12 (External appointments)
- Grade 10 or NQF 1 Academic (Internal appointments)
- Code B drivers license for Operator Grade 1
Min Experience
- 0 to 1 relevant year
- The position will be filled in line with the relevant approved MSP career guide
