SAMRC Facilities Management Division is seeking a skilled Maintenance Assistant to handle building and grounds maintenance.
SAMRC Responsibilities:

Maintenance Assistants work closely with Facilities Handymen to maintain the buildings and grounds.

On a daily basis, the Maintenance Assistant will be responsible for prioritizing and organizing own work to maintain internal and external building infrastructure.

Assist with asset transfers and other facilities management services requested by the Facilities Handyman or Supervisor.

During the absence of the Driver and Postal/Storeman, the Maintenance Assistant will perform their duties.
Maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations as well as organizational policies and procedures
SAMRC Core Requirements:

Matric or Equivalent
-
Minimum 3 to 5 years’ relevant experience

Experience with electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and air conditioning

The ability to prioritize and manage time efficiently.

The ability to work unsupervised/without direct supervision is required.

Communicate effectively and possess high interpersonal skills.
-
Ability to work in a team environment is required.
SAMRC Added advantage:

Experience maintaining and working on large grounds and buildings

An annual salary of R82 650, cost-to-company.
