Production Assistant (Trainee)

PRODUCTION ASSISTANT SCOPE AND PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
- To assist production managers, supervisors with the day to day running of production development within plants
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
- To provide a professional, efficient and effective operational support within the respective business area.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS ROLE
- Provide professional operational support in executing service and experience delivery to the business.
- Understand and perform the given tasks in an effective, efficient and safe manner.
- Apply good working behaviours and team work in the respective business area.
- Provide professional service to all relevant stakeholders.
MAIN ACTIVITIES OF THIS ROLE
- Perform all tasks and activities as per the role requirements.
- Raise maintenance and hygiene issues for management to address.
- Adhere to all other reasonable requests issued by Management.
- Comply with company procedures including Health and Safety.
- Assist with operational / execution support activities and tasks such as, but not limited to:
- General administration, filing, sorting of paperwork, answering phone calls (as and when required)
- Performing operational duties per instruction and under supervision.
- Activities that support exceptional task performance.
- Continuous learning and development.
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, COMPETENCIES
Qualifications
- Matric
- Further Educational Training (FET) / Technical Vocational Educational Training (TVET) qualification
- Knowledge of general hygiene good practices
- A strong focus on service excellence
Skills
- Verbal and written literacy: Proficiency to read, write and converse in English
- Numeric literacy
- Basic problem solving
- Basic computing (MS Office. Outlook, SAP, etc.)
- Compile a typed/written report (where relevant)
