As a Finance Intern, Y will be working for Hitachi Energy’s Longmeadow, South Africa, business.

Responsibilities
You will learn about not only local but regional operations at Hitachi Energy South Africa, where qualified and registered professionals will be paired with you. Through their transfer of knowledge, skills, and attributes, they can help you transition into the professional world.
They can also help you learn beyond what you learned in school. It is expected that the Finance Graduate will be exposed to many facets of the financial environment, but primarily focus on supporting the controlling team within the PGGA.
As part of the training program, the successful candidate will learn how to be highly proficient and agile in the field of finance.
They will learn and engage with stakeholders by developing soft skills. The graduate will gain experience in project management and accounting-related aspects related to projects.
Graduates will assist the business unit controller with some duties as well as load journal vouchers into the system, work on accounts receivable collections, and collect VAT documents for the company.
Aside from those already mentioned, the graduate will also be responsible for ad hoc tasks relating to finance. It is also important for the candidate to contribute to driving the finance team towards their set goals.

Your background
It is recommended that you have a degree or diploma in accounting. Ensure strong written and communication skills and a positive attitude towards learning.
The candidate should be familiar with Microsoft Outlook, intermediate Excel skills, Word documentation, and have an understanding of general accounting principles. It is essential that you are proficient in both spoken and written English.
