Lasec® Group South Africa: Service Engineering Internship Programme 2023
Applications are invited for the Service Engineering Internship Programme 2023 at Lasec® Group.
Location: Bloemfontein, Free State, South Africa
The Bloemfontein office of Lasec SA is looking to recruit a Service Engineer Intern to join the Service Unit.
Requirements that must be met:
- A minimum of N5 certification in Electrical/Electronic/Instrumentation Engineering with a Trade Test certificate and/or a diploma or equivalent qualification is required
- Working experience as an electronics/instrumentation mechanic on components and boards
- Analytical and scientific instruments in the laboratory should be familiar to you.
- Learn about SANAS’ mandate and ISO17025/2005 accreditation.
- It would be advantageous if you had experience in refrigeration.
- You should be comfortable with local travel as well as traveling to Africa if necessary.
- Ability to converse in Afrikaans.
- Driver’s license is essential.
Summary of duties and responsibilities:
- Manage the company’s products sold to existing and new customers, accurately documenting and processing related documents.
- All equipment sold by the company must be installed, calibrated, and commissioned.
- Train customers on all products within our product range, both newly installed and existing.
- The company’s equipment and instruments must undergo preventative maintenance.
- Troubleshoot and repair all equipment where necessary.
- Provide technical support to customers at the office and/or over the phone.
- Maintain competence by staying up-to-date with the latest products, developments, and designs by increasing your product and technical knowledge.
- Participate in all training sessions that facilitate the maintenance of the company’s product line.
- Identification of new and replacement equipment sales opportunities to assist Sales Reps.
- Promote the company’s services and products.
- Remuneration will be discussed at final interview stage.
