Jumbo Clothing’s Workplace Experience Programme 2023 is seeking FET/TVET N6 Business Management graduates:
TVET/FET graduates with a N6 Certificate in Business Management are invited to apply for an exciting opportunity with JUMBO, The Clothing Co.
The 18-month program requires dedication and offers in-depth practical on-the-job training. As a result of this experience, students will be able to earn their diplomas.
In order to gain practical experience in a Clothing Retail Store environment, we are seeking interns who are interested in gaining practical experience.
A variety of roles and positions relating to the industry will be covered by interns as part of their training
The functioning of a clothing retail store is as follows:
- Shop Assistant – 4 months
- Cashier – 4 Months
- Admin Controller – 4 months
- Assistant Store Manager – 4 months
- Store Manager – 2 months
A Clothing Retail Business internship exposes interns to the following aspects:
Visual Merchandising:
The intern will assist in merchandising in all departments and ensure a high level of housekeeping is maintained at all times.
Sales:
Ensure that all marketing promotions are implemented to maximize sales opportunities. Interns are expected to provide efficient and effective service to customers, understanding their needs and attempting to exceed their expectations.
Customer service:
Provide excellent customer service and a pleasant shopping environment.
Point of Sale Procedures:
The intern will be trained in point of sale processing tasks and activities associated with the cashier position.
Assists with routine point-of-sale cahier activities, such as recording, registering, and responding to general applications. The intern will be trained on the company’s in-house systems and software (Dolphn Live & WPRO).
Administration:
This internship involves general administration and fling activities, as well as handling cash.
Finance:
Management of petty cash, sales purchases, internal controls and fixed assets, as well as cash management.
Staff Management:
Through job descriptions, to-do lists, plans, and goals, the Store Manager will teach the intern how to assign tasks to employees and monitor their performance.
Performance Evaluation:
The Store Manager submits a summary report detailing the graduates’ performance and abilities after each quarter.
Minimum requirements
- N6 Certificate in Business Management from TVET/FET College.
- No Criminal Record.
- SA Citizen.
