Sibanye-Stillwater Mining Learnership Programme 2023
Minimum required qualifications:
- Students applying for the Learner Official Certificate must have at least Grade 12 or equivalent NQF Educational Certificate, with Pure Mathematics and English.
- A minimum of one (1) year’s experience working underground in the primary production area (Stopping/Development) is required

Obtain medical clearance from an occupational health care facility relevant to Sibanye Stillwater to work in the position and environment.
Advantageous qualifications:
- Experienced miners in primary production (Stopping/Development/Tramming) with more than four years of experience are encouraged to apply.
- Operators or Team Leaders with experience in stopping/developing
- Candidates with the highest grades in mathematics and English in Grade 12
- An applicant who has completed a BSc degree or diploma in mining is preferred
Additional requirements:
- Shortlisted applicants will be interviewed and will undergo psychometric testing, which will be considered during the final allocation of learnerships.

Key Responsibilities:
- A trainee official of Level 4 on the National Qualification Framework (NQF) who supervises operations underground hard rock
- With this qualification, learners will be able to supervise blasting in underground mines in a safe, efficient, and effective manner
