SALARY for Admin Clerk:

It costs R181 599 per year. Upon selection, the successful candidate will be required to sign a performance contract.

CENTRE: Durban, Kwazulu Natal Division of The High Court

REQUIREMENTS for Admin Clerk:

A matriculation certificate and equivalent qualification. It will be an advantage if you have experience in Clerical/Administration functions in a court environment.

Skills and Competencies:

The ability to use Microsoft Office programs. Ability to communicate effectively (both verbally and in writing). A good sense of organization and administration.

Ability to work under pressure and provide excellent customer service. A good ability to interact with others and maintain good relationships with the media.

DUTIES:

Maintain the integrity of court documents by operating the recording machine and recording court proceedings.

Ensure the recording machine and microphones are working properly by preparing and setting them up.

All malfunctions on the machine should be reported. Before court begins, make sure the recording is on. Ensure that all voices are audible.

The exporting of cases. The proceedings are being downloaded on an RW-CD. Keeping track of transcription requests and court time spent per case is essential.

Scanning and data capturing of documents. Provide any other administrative support required by the judiciary, court manager, and/or supervisor.
