M2M is an African organization that employs women living with HIV as community health workers in ten African countries.
Job Description
This position will provide local coordination and support for bidirectional referral capacities and systems in the Ehlanzeni and Nkangala Districts of Mpumalanga Province, under the USAID-funded and m2m-led Children and Adolescents Are My Priority initiative.
Our multi-million dollar, USAID-funded grant for orphaned and vulnerable children (OVC) is in its fifth year of implementation.
By eliminating economic barriers to HIV testing and treatment, reducing HIV stigma in the community, and improving education and knowledge of HIV in the community, this holistic programming is building the capacity of the most vulnerable children and their entire families – which are most affected by HIV – to meet their basic needs.
Key Performance Areas:
Coordinate and ensure active & rapid access to HIV related services for children living with HIV (CLHIV).Â
- Work with USAID’s District Support Partners and Department of Health staff at high-volume health facilities in Nkangala and Gert Sibande districts to support the new identification, tracing, and referral pathways for CLHIV, and ensure CLHIV are enrolled in CHAMP.
- Activities that support outreach and strengthen links between district health facilities
- Activities supporting referrals and coordination of HIV/AIDS services for OVCs and CLHIVs

Partner/stakeholder managementÂ

Promote CHAMP’s case management services and other care packages to District Support Partners, Department of Health/health facilities, local leaders, community-based organizations, and non-profits.
Competencies required  Â
- Excellent attention to detail and deadlines
- Establishing and maintaining meaningful relationships with stakeholders and government          implementing partners
- Good problem-solving ability
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good team player
   Qualifications and experience:
- Building relationships between health facilities and community-based programs and facilitating bidirectional referrals
- Experience with OVC preferred
- Delivery models based on community-based or case management knowledge
- A fluent speaker and writer of English who is competent in written communication and reporting
- Proficient in basic computer skills
- Knowledge of DOH systems and protocols
- Drivers license
