About the AECI Limited Laboratory Internships
- Alternative products and processes should be researched, developed, and reviewed
- Analyze and recommend alternative products and processes
- Take corrective action when non-conformances are identified
- In manufacturing processes, take representative samples
- Sampling and testing of bituminous binder materials
- Using a pH meter, determine the pH of liquids
- Perform laboratory tests on bituminous materials, including binders, residues, coagulation, and sedimentation
- Ensure that analytical results are captured and verified
- Certificates of analysis should be compiled
- Samples should be stored for record-keeping purposes
- Consolidate bitumen usage (theoretical and actual)
- Ensure laboratory housekeeping standards are met
- Calibrations of laboratory equipment and the laboratory asset register should be maintained and updated
- Ensure adequate stock levels of laboratory consumables
- Preparation of laboratory reports
Qualifications For AECI Limited Laboratory Internships
- Achieving a National Diploma in Civil/Chemical Engineering
- A valid Code B driver’s license is required (an advantage).
