City of uMhlathuze is hiring General Workers Posts: Applications are being accepted for the following positions at the City of uMhlathuze.

General Workers

  • Posts (IN DIFFERENT DEPARTMENTS).

Basic Salary

  •  R 128 648.40 – R 144 829.68 per year

Minimum Requirements

  • Education on a basic level.
  • The incumbent must be physically fit.
  • It’s a requirement for the incumbent to be capable of walking long distances, disciplined and have sober habits. In addition, the incumbent should be willing to work overtime and night shifts when needed.
  • Experience with relevant topics.

Competency Requirments

  • Perform routine work!
  • Take basic instruction.
  • Follow a work roster.
  • Use the tools safely.
  • Store tools safely.
  • Communicates basic instructions to peers.
  • Performs digging, sweeping, lifting, packing, cleaning, teamaking, operating levers.
  • Performs basic implements.
  • Keep tools safe.
  • Stores tools.
  • Understand the signs.
  • Fill in a timesheet.
  • Receive and understand instructions correctly!

Key Responsibilites

  • Perform routine manual work.
  • Keep the store packed and tidy.
  • Keep tools safe.
  • Loads, unloads and carries equipment and material as instructed by supervisor.
  • Performs digging, sweeping, lifting, packing, cleaning, tea-making, operating levers.
