Experience

  • A Grade 12 certificate is required for applicants. There is no need for experience.

Ability to capture data, operate a computer, and collect statistics as well as knowledge of clerical duties.An understanding of the legislative framework that governs the public service. Having a thorough understanding of the working environment in terms of procedures.

Duties

  • Render general clerical support services. Record, organise, store, capture and retrieve correspondence and data (line function).
  • Epicentre is recruiting for Junior Researchers/Data Collectors in Gauteng
  • Registers and statistics should be updated. Answer routine inquiries. Receive or send facsimiles and photocopies.
  • Distribute documents / packages to stakeholders as needed. Maintain the component’s filing system.
  • When necessary, type letters and other correspondence. Maintain the component’s incoming and outgoing document register.
  • Minutes are taken and drafted. Within the component, provide supply chain clerical support.

Liaise with internal and external stakeholders regarding procurement of goods and services. For standard office items, obtain quotations and complete procurement forms.

Office stationery stock control. Maintain the component’s asset register. Within the component, provide personnel administration clerical support.Ensure that the component’s leave register is kept up to date. Maintain personnel records within the component.

Maintain the component’s attendance register.Organize travel and accommodation. Support the component’s financial administration.
