With Visa’s rapidly expanding team, we are currently seeking Data Scientists who are equally passionate about tackling meaningful business problems with Visa’s rich data.

Responsibilities
- We are looking for an out-of-the-box thinker who has a passion for finding innovative ways to use our unique data for business success
- Derive relevant insights and opinions about our clients from extracting and understanding data
- Developing innovative and scalable big data and machine learning solutions with teams across all regions in CEMEA
- Generating insight for clients and addressing real business challenges using industry-leading data science techniques
- Utilizing tools such as Tableau and PowerBI to develop visualizations for diagnostics and scalable reporting.
- Provide actionable recommendations by analyzing large and complex datasets with tools such as Python/SQL/Spark
Qualifications
- Graduating students in 2023 or 2024 with a Bachelor’s (Honors) or Master’s degree
- Mathematics, statistics, computer science, or econometrics degree
- The internship will run from June to September 2023 (full-time).
- Communicates effectively, tells stories well, and presents well
Preferred qualifications
- Data extraction and aggregation from large data sets using SQL/Hive and Spark
- Jupyter Notebooks, Python, R, SQL, SAS, and/or Spark are used to analyze large data sets
- Using software such as Tableau to generate and visualize data-based insights
- Delivering actionable recommendations based on data-driven insights
- Using Office software tools like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and/or Teams to manage and organize work
- A machine learning tool kit, Jupyter notebooks, Python, and/or SAS are used to build predictive and descriptive statistical models
- Statistical analysis and data mining (e.g., regression modeling, clustering, decision trees).
- Ability to perform superior financial and analytical analyses
- A strong ability to collaborate with a diverse group of peers is required
- Getting buy-in and agreement from key stakeholders by effectively communicating viewpoints
- Possess self-confidence and hands-on experience, as well as the ability to adapt to a fast-paced and constantly changing work environment
