The Industrial Engineering team will be responsible for supporting the continuous improvement process change required as part of our 5 year IT roadmap.
The focus in 2023 will be on identifying requirements for a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Warehouse Management System (WMS).
A risk map and improvement plans need to be created for all significant risks identified.
In order to implement new systems, new process improvements need to be mapped and rolled out in teams.
The incumbent’s roles and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- An analysis of all processes involved in ERP and warehouse management
- Execute system strategies with support and assistance from the Senior Business Process and Technology Manager
- Documenting Standard Operating Procedures(SOPs)
- Collect functional and reporting requirements for system implementations with business analysts
- Analyze current business and identify improvement opportunities
- Work with process owners to improve lead time, quality, risk, and delivery scorecards by implementing process improvement changes
- Project manage initiatives as and when they are assigned
To apply for these positions you need:
- A relevant degree or diploma in Industrial Engineering
- Currently reside in Cape Town
- To have the ability to critically evaluate information
- An eye for detail and exceptional organisational skills
- Communication skills (both written and verbal) and excellent interpersonal skills
- The ability to build and maintain healthy relationships
- Taking responsibility for your own development and being self-motivated
- To be a team player
- To be proactive
- A strong ability to learn
- A good working knowledge of MS Word and Excel
- (Advantageous) Knowledge of Business Intelligence systems
